Letter to the editor: Don’t jeopardize sustainable development

“The recent municipal board decision opening up more land for development was a great favour to land developers, but it upset Waterloo Region’s well-planned concept for sustainable development. Sustainable development means encouraging urban intensification, limiting urban sprawl, and protecting sensitive areas. Areas the region wishes to protect include both natural areas and groundwater recharge areas.”
